Deputy and his wife killed in head-on collision caused by Webb City man

A tragic accident has claimed the life of a Christian County deputy and his wife.
Off-duty Deputy Sheriff Michael Adams and his wife Ashley were hit head-on by a suspected impaired driver south of Nixa, Missouri, on Monday.
Authorities say the impaired driver, a 40-year-old man from Webb City, had previously fled from law enforcement. His name has not been made public.
The couple’s four-month-old grandchild was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
