State budget deadline day has arrived for Gov. Kehoe

The fate of the 52-billion dollar state budget proposal is now up to the governor.
Governor Kehoe tells Newatalk KZRG he plans to present his budget decisions Monday afternoon.
Kehoe says he’s trying to balance many priorities….
“Just because we have money doesn’t mean we have to spend all of Missouri’s money,” said Kehoe. “We understand it’s important to leave some money in the bank for what we think will be a little bit tougher times in the state budget coming in the next couple of years.”
The legislature’s plan would fully fund the formula used to bankroll K-12 public schools, designate millions to improve low-volume roads, help crime victims and refugees resettle, develop semiconductor chips, among other things.
