4th of July celebrations precautions

Last Independence Day, one person died in Joplin while shooting off fireworks in the roadway.

Mayor Keenan Cortez tells Newstalk KZRG:

“If you’re doing your fireworks in the road, on the street you live on and all that kind of stuff, when you see traffic coming down the street, get out of the road, you know, get back on the sidewalk, get back in the yard, let that firework do its thing. But keep yourself safe. We want to see you on Saturday morning the 5th of July all healthy.”
