Jasper County Emergency Services, reaching all parts of the county with new radio system

JASCO stands for the Jasper County Emergency Services.
Executive Director Brandon McClintock on the KZRG Morning News Watch said what his department does as the Jasper County 911 service:
“We’re the PSAP, or public Safety answering point for Jasper County. So we kind of coordinate the response with fire, EMS, and law enforcement agencies throughout the county, with the exception of the city of Joplin. They have their own PSAP. We answer calls, send people to where they need to be.”
Reaching emergency responders throughout Jasper County is the goal of the Jasper County Emergency Services.
What happens when a 911 call arrives?
McClintock told Newstalk KZRG: “So as the call taker takes that information, they’re trying to make sure that information quickly is out to the responders and that it’s accurate information. And part of that was the new public safety radio system that we’re installing that the taxpayers approved. That’s been a multi-year project that we’ve been working on, and that’s to really help that information go out more quickly to our responders and make sure that information is received on their end.”
