AFC Urgent Care Joplin Rolls Out DOT Physicals for Truck Drivers

JOPLIN, Mo. — AFC Urgent Care Joplin has launched a new service offering Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals for truck drivers, ensuring the city’s trucking community stays safe, compliant, and road-ready. 

“We do a lot of pre-employment physicals and other health services,” AFC Clinical Director Reilly Allmoslecher said to KZRG. “And so we wanted to expand that area to meet the demand of Joplin in the local cities. So starting in June, we began offering DOT physicals. We also do DOT drug screening, non DOT drug screening and other occupational health services.”

Priced at $95, these Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA)-certified exams are now available at the clinic, located at 320 Geneva Ave.

The DOT physicals, required for commercial driver’s license holders, include vision, hearing, blood pressure, and comprehensive health assessments conducted by FMCSA-certified medical examiners. 

Exams take just 30 to 45 minutes, with passing drivers receiving their Medical Examiner’s Certificate immediately. Appointments can be scheduled within 24 hours by calling (417) 526-4232, with hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends.
