One Joplin Executive Director named a “Leader to Watch” by Missouri Foundation for Health

Joplin, MO — One Joplin is proud to announce that Executive Director, Nicole Brown, EdD, has been recognized as a 2025 “Leader to Watch” by the Missouri Foundation for Health (MFH). This distinction honors individuals who are making a lasting impact on health and well-being across the state of Missouri through innovation, collaboration, and community leadership.
Brown was selected as part of MFH’s statewide effort to spotlight emerging leaders whose work is driving meaningful change in areas such as health equity, education, and economic stability. Under her leadership, One Joplin has strengthened its role as a convener and connector—aligning community organizations, volunteers, and local leaders to create upstream solutions to challenges in literacy, poverty, health, and education.
“I am honored and humbled by this recognition,” said Brown. “This is truly a reflection of the incredible work being done by the One Joplin partners. I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside so many passionate community members to build a healthier and stronger community.”
The “Leaders to Watch” initiative by Missouri Foundation for Health is part of its broader commitment to fostering leadership that reflects the diversity and strength of Missouri’s communities.
