World Street Painting Festival wraps up; Murals viewable in Schifferdecker Park

The World Street Painting Festival wrapped up at 2 p.m. in Joplin Saturday.

Patrick Tuttle of the Joplin Convention and Visitors Bureau says the event features 10 international artists who have created stunning 3-D art.

The festival celebrates Joplin’s contribution to the Route 66 Centennial.Next year, even more artists will take part.

The murals, painted on the interior streets on the south side of Schifferdecker will be available for public viewing at least until the fall of 2027.
