Labette County releases results of Click It or Ticket campaign

During the Click It or Ticket campaign, the Labette County Sheriff’s Office focused primarily on unrestrained drivers, while also enforcing all Kansas traffic laws.
During the campaign, deputies conducted 131 vehicle stops, resulting in 34 seat belt citations, 2 child restraint citations, 14 speeding citations, and 20 other citations including 3 DUI arrests.
According to Labette County Undersheriff Greg Haraughty:
“We are here to enforce all Kansas traffic laws, and ultimately, we hope to decrease unsafe driving behavior. If you were stopped, we hope you have learned from this experience. If so, we have made the roads a little safer for you and those you share it with.”
The office reminds you to buckle up for yourself, your family and your friends.
