Former Rep. Cody Smith to receive MSSU’s Richard M. Webster Medallion

Former Missouri State Rep. Cody Smith will be presented with Missouri Southern State University’s Richard M. Webster Medallion on June 11 at 1 p.m.

The event will take place at the Ron Richard Athletic Center on the MSSU campus in Joplin, Missouri.

The Ron Richard M. Webster Medallion was established in 2016 and is awarded annually to a Missouri legislator in recognition of outstanding service to higher education in the state.

Former Rep. Smith is being recognized for his leadership and commitment to advancing Missouri’s public colleges and universities.

Elected in 2016, Smith served as District 163 Representative in the Missouri House for eight years.
