Shooting TV gets man in trouble with the law

A father from Jasper County in trouble with the law.

36-year-old Dennis Bland, of Alba, was arrested on multiple charges after shooting a TV in front of four young girls.

Court documents say he was was tired of his daughters not listening to him and refusing to turn down loud inappropriate music.

Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney Theresa Kenny told Newstalk KZRG:

“There was probable cause to believe that Mr. Bland fired a gun into a television in the presence of four juveniles, thereby exposing them to risk of injury and that he was intoxicated at the time which was the basis for the charge of unlawful use of a weapon.”

He faces five felony counts.

His bond was set at 100-thousand dollars cash-only.
