Police identify suspect in Miami, Oklahoma, officer-involved shooting

Authorities have identified the shooter in the officer-involved shooting in Miami, Oklahoma, Saturday night.
It began around 9:00 when the Mia Bella Italian Kitchen says a man fired gunshots through their patio door in an effort to gain entry inside.
The OSBI says one individual suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
When officers made contact with the suspect, 25-year-old Michael Cook, gunfire was exchanged.
Life-saving measures were performed by officers and Cook was flown to a hospital in critical condition.
Cook’s motives are unknown but Miami Police Chief Stephen Sigmon says he was seen walking past the restaurant and hanging out in the area before firing shots.
The Miami Police Department says he does not have any ties to the Miami-area.
There were no other injuries during the officer-involved shooting incident.
Several criminal charges are currently pending against Cook as the investigation continues.
