Congressman Burlison talks up southwest Missouri tourism

Missouri has many hot tourism spots and Congressman Eric Burlison is touting tourism in his district, which covers most of southwest Missouri.
He tells Newstalk KZRG that his seat on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee puts him in a position to aid infrastructure that in turn aids tourism:
“The highways are extremely important to this area as well as the railroads and the waterways. So for me, I’m focused very much on trying to get as much money as possible to provide as many new lanes as possible to I-44. That is a very important artery to Southwest Missouri and really to the whole state of Missouri.”
Aside from the well-known attractions in Branson and Springfield, Burlison also touts southwest Missouri’s wide collection of cave tours and lakes.
In addition to Table Rock Lake, he urges people to visit lakes Taneycomo and Bull Shoals, especially anglers wanting to reel in walleye, rainbow trout, and other breeds of fish
