Two Kenworth big rigs involved in accident in Stone County

Two Kenworth big rigs were involved in a crash on Hendrickson School Road, 2.7 miles west of Baxter, Missouri in Stone County early Friday afternoon.

One driver was seriously injured.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says a southbound 2002 Kenworth crested a hill and approached a sharp curve but failed to negotiate it and overturned, striking a northbound 2001 Kenworth that had stopped in the roadway to avoid a collision.

The 46-year old male from Cassville driving the 2002 big rig suffered serious injuries. He was airlifted to a Springfield hospital.

The other driver, a 50-year-old man from Cassville,  was not injured.
