NEO announces new Department Chair of Nursing and Nursing Director

MIAMI, Okla. — Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) is proud to announce the appointment of Jeanette Blankenship as the new Department Chair of Nursing, Allied Health, and Physical Education, as well as the Director of Nursing.
A 1982 graduate of NEO’s Nursing Program, Blankenship returns to her alma mater with over 30 years of extensive clinical and academic experience. Her professional background includes teaching and administrative roles at respected institutions such as Oklahoma State University Medical Center, Texas Woman’s University, Langston University, Ascension St. John Medical Center, and The University of Texas at Arlington.
“It’s incredibly rare to find someone with a blend of clinical expertise, experience in higher education, and strong leadership skills,” said Dr. Dustin Grover, Vice President for Academic Affairs. “We’re thrilled to welcome Jeanette to our administrative team.”
In her dual role, she will oversee NEO’s Nursing, Allied Health, and Physical Education programs, ensuring students continue to receive high-quality, hands-on training to meet the demands of today’s healthcare industry.
Blankenship is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Nursing Practice through the University of Alabama.
