More info released on St. Louis area measles exposure

The Saint Louis City Health Director is releasing information on the confirmed measles case in an adult who visited the Saint Louis Aquarium in Union Station last week.

St Louis City Health Director Dr. Mati Hlatshwayo Davis says, in addition to the adult from Illinois that has measles, there was a field group of children who were exposed.

If you experience a high fever, cough, runny nose, red, watery eyes, or a rash that begins on the face and spreads to other parts of the body, you should immediately isolate and then contact your health care provider.

Davis adds, a rash may not always develop for several days after exposure to measles.
