Mail carriers aim to stamp out hunger Saturday

The National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) is hosting its 33rd annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive this Saturday, May 10!
Each year, letter carriers across the Joplin-metro head out on their routes to collect donations of non-perishable food items to benefit local food pantries.
Since launching in 1993, the National Association of Letter Carriers’ annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive has grown into the nation’s largest one-day food drive, helping to fill the shelves of food banks in cities and towns throughout the United States.
It’s simple, all you have to do is place a bag of nonperishable food items next to your mailbox and your letter carrier will take care of the rest!
