Congressman says Republicans have answers to Medicaid spending and out of control federal judges

Democrats have turned Medicaid into a freebie program for able-bodied people, stressing the program and depriving deserving recipients of benefits.  And federal judges are out of control.

Those are the opinions of Oklahoma 2nd District Republican Congressman Josh Brecheen.

He stopped by the KZRG Morning NewsWatch to discuss problems the Republicans are working on solving.

Congressman Brecheen says, starting with the Obama administration, Medicaid has grown exponentially, with recipients  increasing by a whopping 60%.

“What we are trying to do is restrain the growth, Brecheen declares.  “I think it’s important people understand in 2012 Obamacare expanded the Medicaid population.

“Obama increased who was eligible for Medicaid to include the able bodied, what he called the ‘expansion population.'”

The Oklahoma Congressman says another problem is out of control federal judges

Brecheen, a Native American, advocates for judicial reform to limit a single judge’s power in blocking presidential actions, promoting a three-judge panel to prevent overreach.

“You’ve got judges right now that want to give away citizenship rights of due process, United States citizenship, due process type rights to illegal aliens,  and gang members, Brecheen states.

Brecheen says Republicans have a possible solution to the problem.

“You want to give these people due process rights? I think not,” he states. “The bill that we passed off the floor last week that is headed to the Senate now that will make sure that one judge can’t do this. It will take a panel of three judges. And we are absolutely within our constitutional bounds.”
