Two sentenced in connection with fentanyl death of 18-year-old from Frontenac

In southeast Kansas, two people responsible for selling fentanyl that killed an 18-year-old from Frontenac near Pittsburg were sentenced today.
39-year-old Tabitha Wilson of Pittsburg and 47-year-old William of Davis of Girard will be doing time for their role in the death of 18-year-old Kooper Campiti.
Wilson was convicted of Involuntary Manslaughter and distribution of fentanyl. She was sentenced to 62 months in prison.
Davis was convicted of distribution of fentanyl. He will spend 41 months in the Kansas Department of Corrections.
After they get out of prison, the court will require both Wilson and Davis to be on post-release supervision and register under the Kansas Offender Registration Act.
Campiti died of a fenanyl overdose on April 22st, 2023.
Crawford County Attorney, Reina Probert, expressed her appreciation to the law enforcement officers from the Pittsburg Police Department, Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Kansas Bureau of Investigation and Homeland Security who assisted in the investigation.
Probert indicated that fentanyl cases are increasing in Crawford County.
Fentanyl is highly addictive and can be deadly.
