Tonight more action on old Freeman Hospital demolition

Last Joplin council meeting there was some action concerning the old Freeman Hospital Building.  

More action is happening at tonight’s meeting.  

Joplin Mayor Pro Tem Josh Detar, r told Newstalk KZRG:

“So, last week we talked about it, and we voted to use the funds to bring it down. But now, the new owner is going to be the Economic Security Corporation.  So the previous property owner and new owner worked out a deal. So tonight’s really just a memory of understanding how to develop that for low income housing using some of the HUD funding and different things like that. So that’s really what the conversation will be tonight.”
