Afton man arrested for possession of child pornography

AFTON, OK – The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a cybertip containing several images and videos of child sexual abuse material uploaded to the internet. That information was then provided to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children Unit (ICAC) for further investigation.

During the investigation, OSBI ICAC special agents identified the internet user as 33-year-old Christopher Matthew Doering.

It was determined that Doering was a registered sex offender through the state of Oklahoma and was residing in Afton, Oklahoma.

On April 25, 2025, the OSBI ICAC Taskforce, Oklahoma Department of Corrections, District 13 Task Force, and the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant at Doering’s residence in Afton. Doering was arrested and booked into the Ottawa County Jail on charges of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material, Punishment for Second and Subsequent Offense, and Violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.

This is still an ongoing investigation.

The OSBI appreciates all agencies who assisted with this investigation and arrest.
