Missouri Students Sue Over Visa Revocation

A federal judge has blocked the Department of Homeland Security from revoking the visas of five international college students in Missouri.
The students filed suit, saying their legal immigration status was unlawfully revoked without notice and without cause, and that they were in full compliance with the terms of their visas.
U-S District Judge Steven Bough ordered the Trump Administration to restore their visas and blocked any further deportation efforts of the five for at least 14 days.
The students are enrolled at Truman State, Northwest Missouri State, Southeast Missouri State, and Missouri S&T, with one graduate student who’s working in Kansas City.
The lawsuit is one of dozens of others filed across the nation to challenge the Trump Administration’s move to terminate the legal status of international students.
New today – The Trump administration has reversed course. International students in Missouri whose visas were revoked can stay put – for now.
