Two on motorcycle killed in crash near Commerce, Oklahoma Thursday night

Two Miami, Oklahoma residents were killed in crash around 8:45 Thursday night on US-69 and S-580 road just east of Commerce.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) says the vehicles involved were a 2010 Ford F150 and a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle.

The motorcycle driver, 45-year-old Nicholas L. Malpass of Miami was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger on the cycle, 44-year-old Sharon L. Malpass of Miami was transported to a hospital by an air ambulance but was pronounced dead en route to that facility.

The driver of the pickup, a 16-year-old female from Miami, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

She was taken by private vehicle to a hospital in Miami.

The OHP says the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
