Neck City man charged with illegally recording tanning bed victims
A man from Neck City, Missouri, is accused of illegally recording people in the tanning room of a local gym.
43-year-old Joshua Simpson is charged with seven felony counts of invasion of privacy and one count of possessing child pornography.
Authorities say Simpson non-consensually recorded and distributed intimate images of victims who were tanning at Colaw Fitness at 2706 E. 7th, in Joplin.
Simpson was taken into custody on Friday and is being held on bond of $250,000 surety or $60,000 cash.
All the victims have been identified and contacted by law enforcement.
If additional victims are identified as the investigation continues, they will also be contacted by authorities.
