Indivisible Joplin plans protest this weekend

JOPLIN, Mo. – Local residents are preparing to attend a protest this weekend, April 5th, 2025, as part of the Hands Off! movement.
This international day of mobilization includes more than 1,000 events nationwide and several international events, aiming to raise voices against the Presidential Administration’s overreaching policies. Standing with over 500,000 people, they will call on President Trump and Elon Musk to take their hands off the programs that the middle class and working families rely on.
“We have over 150 people signed up for the event. I anticipate the weather deterring attendees, but if we stand up despite the rain, our statement will be heard that much louder,” says Jenna Ehrhardt, Activism Coordinator for Indivisible Joplin
“I truly think this can be a beautiful experience,” she adds.
The event will be held rain or shine, but the community is advised to stay weather aware and make safe decisions should severe weather hit.
Indivisible Joplin and local residents will participate in this nonviolent movement by holding a sidewalk protest. They are encouraging people to participate in this community event to communicate to government officials that their overreach will not be tolerated by the American people.
