Join the Adventure: Tour de Llama with Bike Walk Joplin
Joplin, MO – Bike Walk Joplin is excited to announce our first fundraising event: Tour de Llama, a fun-filled 15-mile urban cycling adventure, happening on April 12, 2025.
Cyclists of all ages and abilities are invited to join the tour, enjoy a casual ride through Joplin and the Frisco Trail, and stop at two Crazy Llama Coffee locations along the way.
The event will kick off at Empire Market (931 E 4th St.) at 8:30 AM, with participants parking at OWN Engineering (811 E 3rd St). From there, riders will embark on three scenic segments that highlight Joplin’s vibrant community and beautiful outdoor spaces.
Route Overview:
● Segment 1 (3.1 miles): Empire Market to Crazy Llama Joplin
● Segment 2 (7.3 miles): Crazy Llama Joplin to Crazy Llama Webb City (including the Frisco Trail)
● Segment 3 (4.4 miles): Crazy Llama Webb City back to Empire Market

Throughout the ride, cyclists will have the opportunity to refuel with delicious coffee drinks at Crazy Llama Coffee locations and connect with fellow bike enthusiasts. SAG support will be available throughout the route and there will be a waterstop at the Frisco trailhead.
The event will conclude at Empire Market, where participants can stay to shop, eat, and enjoy local music from 10 AM – 2 PM.
Event Registration:
Registration is just $25, which includes a commemorative event t-shirt and 50% off drinks at both Crazy Llama Coffee locations. Children under 12 may also register and get a t-shirt for $10, or without a t-shirt for free.
All event proceeds will directly support Bike Walk Joplin’s mission to advocate for active transportation and promote complete streets initiatives. These efforts are vital in ensuring that Joplin continues efforts to be a safe and accessible place for biking and walking.
