Eighth Annual Southern Shootout today at MSSU

JOPLIN, MO  – The highly anticipated Missouri Southern Shootout, an annual archery competition in partnership with Joplin High School, will kick off Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center on the Missouri Southern State University (MSSU) campus.

Now in its eighth year, the event is hosting over 1,000 archers competing for top honors.

Among the highlights of the competition, the highest-scoring male and female archers will each be awarded a $1,000 scholarship to MSSU.

The event features students ranging from 4th to 12th grades.
