Winter weather returns to the area Wednesday

Wintry weather is making a return to the KZRG listening area with accumulating snow, sleet, ice and rain all likely. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect.
The National Weather Service in Springfield says:
Temperatures will remain steady in the upper 20s to the lower 30s across extreme southeastern Kansas and southwestern and central Missouri this evening through tonight. Period of freezing drizzle will occur at times this evening, will likely be on and off again through the evening hours with in the Winter Weather Advisory area. Tonight, the freezing drizzle may become more widespread in nature ahead of the next system moving into the area late tonight into Wednesday morning with the freezing drizzle transitioning to a wintry mix in the Winter Weather Advisory area.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect NOW until 9 PM Wednesday night. Snow is most likely along and north of the Highway 54 corridor, bringing at least minor travel impacts to this area. Accumulations of 2 to 4 inches can be expected in west central Missouri. Around the I-44 corridor, a wintry mix including ice, sleet, snow, and rain is most likely. Some freezing drizzle will also be possible across portions of southern Missouri Wednesday afternoon. A glaze to a tenth of an inch of ice can be expected in the eastern Ozarks and along the I-44 corridor east of Highway 65.
