Kansas Governor Kelley issues state of disaster emergency proclamation for weather

Kansas Governor Laura Kelly Sunday issued a state of disaster emergency proclamation for weather that is expected to hit large parts of Kansas through Thursday this week.  

Areas to the north and west of the Joplin – Pittsburg area could expect up to an average of 5 to 8 inches with some local areas getting as much as 10 inches by Thursday morning.   

The southern part of Kansas is expecting smaller accumulations of snow.
