St. Louis Avenue opens as closure focuses on area of 9th and Connecticut Avenue

Starting tomorrow (Wednesday, January 29th), South Connecticut Avenue from East Campbell Parkway to East 8th Street will be closed as stormwater work progresses in this area.

This closure allows for installing a box culvert in the railroad right of way near 9^th Street.

The St. Louis Avenue closure is now open, allowing full access along this main corridor.

Drivers may not be affected by this new closure on Connecticut Avenue and 9th Street because Connecticut Avenue shifts northwest at Campbell Parkway and merges with St. Louis Avenue, which carries the bulk of traffic traveling north.

Weather permitting, the work should be completed by February 17. Detours for southbound and northbound traffic will direct drivers to St. Louis Avenue.
