Joplin's utility payment drop box not available; other payment options available

Due to a winter weather incident, the City of Joplin’s utility drop box will not be available until further notice for citizens paying their City of Joplin utility bill.

The City recognizes the importance of this payment option and is working to rebuild the drop box station as quickly as possible.

Until then, customers can utilize several other options to pay their monthly bills. This includes:

1. Pay online by going to www.joplinmo.org/payments . The site provides guidance to complete the process.
2. Mail the payment to the City of Joplin, 602 South Main, Suite 300, Joplin, Mo., 64801.
3. Pay in person at the Finance Department on the third floor of City Hall from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
4. Complete a form from the Finance Department to establish a bank draft payment. Residents may also call 417-624-0820, ext. 1267, to request that City staff mail them a form.
