Kansas City woman accused of hitting, killing bicyclist is charged with DWI

A Kansas City woman accused of hitting and killing a man on a bicycle is now charged charged with DWI.

25-year-old Emily A. Davis faces one felony charge of driving while intoxicated, resulting in the death of another person.

She has pleaded not guilty.

The Highway Patrol says Davis was driving in Platte County around 5:30 a.m. Monday when her car hit the back of a bicycle being ridden by 25-year-old Xavier Anderson.

He died later that morning at a north Kansas City Hospital.
