Royals' Bobby Witt Jr. continues hot streak, hits .489 in July

Kansas City Royals Shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. just recorded one of the best months by a Major League Baseball player in the history of the game.


In 23 games, the 24-year-old had a .489 average, .520 on-base percentage, .833 slugging percentage with a 1.353 OPS.

He had 44 hits, scored 26 runs and had 22 RBIs. He had a hit in 22 of those 23 games with 13 multi-hit outings.

He also dazzled during the All-Star break, hitting 50 homers in the Home Run Derby.


Kansas City is 60-49, a 26-win improvement over 2023 through 109 games, and holds an AL wild card.
