Man who drowned in Grand Lake identified by the GRDA

The name of the man who drowned in Grand Lake on earlier this week has been released by the Grand River Dam Authority.

The GRDA says he is 39-year-old Levi Gibson of Afton, Oklahoma.

Gibson reportedly jumped into the water to help a child but he went under the water and never resurfaced.

The drowning took place near the Patricia Island just west of Grove Thursday morning.
