Fire in Joplin likely attributed to lithium-ion battery

What was all that smoke in Joplin around 7:30 last night?

It came from a fire in the 600 block of East Plaza Drive.

The fire caused a lot of smoke but, luckily, no injuries.

The fire has been ruled accidental.

The City of Joplin says a lithium-ion battery that was being recharged "could not be ruled out" as the cause of the blaze.
