JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The State of Missouri will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Multi-Agency State Laboratory Campus in Jefferson City at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 27th.

The event will take place behind the State Public Health Laboratory (101 N. Chestnut St.).

Governor Parson and members of his Cabinet will be in attendance and provide details about the new lab and how it will better serve Missourians. An updated, finalized design will also be presented to the public.

“Missouri strives to lead the nation in public safety, health, agricultural production, wildlife and environmental areas,” said Commissioner Ken Zellers, Office of Administration.

“This new campus brings all of those pieces together for improved information and resource sharing, ultimately creating a safer and healthier community for generations of Missourians," Zellers stated.
