Carthage woman injured in one-vehicle crash on Highway 171

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash late Tuesday morning on Missouri Highway 171 about 3 miles west of Carthage.
The Patrol says a car driven by 22-year-old Sydney M. Sanders of Carthage was traveling too fast for a curve, drove off the left side of the roadway and struck a guard rail.
Sanders was charged with Felony DWI - Persistent Offender and Careless and Imprudent Driving Resulting in a crash.
She had moderate injuries and was transported to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.
