Mercy Joplin host cancer survivors’ picnic

Mercy Hospital Joplin hosted a cancer survivors’ picnic on Thursday.  

Mercy Cancer Center director of  operations for radiation oncology Whit Sanders told Newstalk KZRG:

“Every year in the month of June, we celebrate cancer survivors day.  It’s a chance to get together with all of our patients, current and past, and celebrate survivorship with providers, nurses and all of the staff.”

The picnic was for those that have fought and survived cancer and those who are currently fighting the disease.
