Missouri American Water hosts check presentation to Wildcat Glades Friends Group

Missouri American Water  hosted a check presentation ceremony, recognizing The Wildcat Glades Friends Group as an American Water Charitable Foundation 2024 Water and Environment grantee.

The Wildcat Glades Friends Group is receiving $9500 to restore native landscape in and around Wildcat Park to improve water quality and promote immersion in nature. Wildcat Park borders Shoal Creek which
the primary source of drinking water for the Joplin area.

The presentation took place this morning Creekside Pavilion on Riviera Drive past the Shoal Creek
Conservation Education Center in south Joplin.

The Water and Environment grant is part of the American Water Charitable Foundation’s Keep Communities Flowing Grant Program, focusing on three pillars of giving: Water, People and Communities.

The American Water Charitable Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides a formal way to demonstrate the company’s ongoing commitment to be a good neighbor, citizen, and contributor to the
communities where American Water and its employees live, work and operate.
