Thursday afternoon home burglary reported in Carthage

Jasper County Sheriffs report a Thursday afternoon home burglary in Carthage.

The homeowners received an alert via video from a home security camera.

When detectives arrived, they encountered 56-year-old Richard Douglas Weaver a.k.a. “Ranger Rick” of Joplin in the kitchen of the residence.

Weaver was taken into custody and transported to the Jasper County Jail.

Charges have been submitted against him for Burglary 2nd degree and resisting arrest.
