Flags to fly at half-staff in Columbus in memory of Chief Daniels

Governor Laura Kelly of Kansas, in accordance with Executive Order #20-30, has ordered flags to fly at half-staff from sunup to sundown on Friday, May 24 in the City of Columbus in honor of Columbus Police Chief Jason Daniels. The 49-year-old Daniels died on Wednesday, May 8th at Columbus's Mercy Hospital after a battle with cancer. Chief Daniels served the community for more than two decades. Governor Kelly said "We owe him a debt of gratitude."
