Joplin man arrested for alleged kidnapping, sexual assault

The Jasper County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man from Joplin on allegations of sexual assault.
38-year-old Michael Donovan Roland was taken into custody Wednesday.
Roland was also a suspect in two separate and unrelated investigations of sexual assault that have occurred recently.
Roland was taken to the Jasper County Detention Center and charges have been submitted to the
prosecutor for Sodomy-1st degree, Kidnapping-1st degree, and Assault-3rd degree.
The investigation is still ongoing and may produce additional charges.
