No ham sandwich day for Missouri

The Missouri House has passed a bill that would make a variety of state designations, such as Tina Turner Day, Cedric the Entertainer Day, and Kansas City Chiefs Day. 

One change that Neosho Representative Ben Baker failed to get in the bill is Ham Sandwich Day...  

“The National Ham sandwich Association bears out the ham sandwiches and the sales of those sandwiches contribute significantly to our state's GDP. The show me state is actually ranked sixth in the nation for ham sandwich consumption.”

The legislation heads back to the Senate, where its fate remains up in the air in this final week of the legislative session.
