Four people injured in a traffic accident on Missouri 96

Four people were seriously injured in a traffic accident at 11:47 a.m. Sunday on Missouri 96, one mile east of Carthage.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 62-year-old Michael B. Roycroft of Patea Taranaki, New Zealand attempted a left turn onto County Road 118 in a westbound Ford Explorer and turned into the path of an eastbound GMC 2500 driven by 73-year-old Frank L. Potter of Ava, Mo.
Potter’s vehicle then ran off the left side of the highway. Roycroft was seriously injured as were Potter and two of his passengers, 71-year-old Francis C. Potter of Ava and 67-year-old Jaylonn T. Baxter of Niangua, Missouri.
All four were transported to Mercy-Joplin by Emergency Medical Services.
