Motorcycle hits dog on Chapel Road; passenger injured

The Missouri State Highway Patrol worked a motorcycle accident over the weekend.

The Patrol reports it happened when a 1999 Harley Davidson operated by 40-year-old Zachary L. Haddock of Carthage struck a dog on Chapel Road about a mile south of Carthage at about 10:15 Saturday morning.

Haddock was not injured.

A passenger on the cycle, 35-year-old Kimberly B. Tipton of Carthage suffered moderate injuries.

She was taken by ambulance to Mercy-Carthage hospital.
