Man from Taney County drowns after going into creek to retrieve his dog

A man from Walnut Shade in Taney County in southwest Missouri drowned just after noon yesterday when he went into a creek to retrieve his dog.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 76-year-old Paul M. Moriuchi drowned after he went into Bull Creek at 12:01 yesterday afternoon.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Taney County Coroner.
