Local Liberty Utilities office closed

Empire Liberty Utilities customers should be prepared for the Joplin office to be closed from now through April 18.

Walk-ins and drive-thrus are closed, while the drop box is still open.

Liberty is closed for a customer information system transition, allowing customer service representatives time to train in the new system.

Check and cash payments brought into the office or dropped in the drop-box for the week of April 1 to April 7 will be processed officially as of April 8 and Liberty will not be charging late fees.
