Jasper child rapist given 40-year prison sentence

A man from Jasper, Missouri, has been given 40 years in prison after he was convicted of child rape.

30-year-old John Estes was sentenced Monday after a jury found him guilty of 1st-degree statutory rape back in February.

He was first arrested in late 2021.

In a Facebook post, Jasper Police say although the families and victim’s lives have had dark days the since Estes preyed on these girls, they stood strong and felt justice was served.
