Children’s Center of southwest Missouri holds Annual Pinwheel Garden Ceremony

Friday morning, the Children’s Center of Southwest Missouri held its Annual Pinwheel Garden Ceremony at the Joplin Police Department.

The Center “planted” pinwheels to represent the innocence and freedom that children should be able to experience in a world without abuse.

This year, the group planted 86 pinwheels to represent each individual child that Joplin Police Department was able to assist through the Children’s Center in Joplin alone last year.

As an organization, the Children’s Center of Southwest Missouri was able to assist over 1,000 families between our four centers in 2023.
