Joplin Regional Community Foundation invites area residents to Celebration of Philanthropy Banquet

The Joplin Regional Community Foundation is inviting residents of Joplin, Webb City and Carl Junction to attend its Celebration of Philanthropy Banquet, during which the JRCF will present its second Philanthropic Achievement Award.
The Banquet will be held 6 p.m., Thursday, April 11, at the Ron Richard Athletic Center on Missouri Southern State University’s campus. Individual tickets are $100 or a table sponsorship for eight is $1,000. Table sponsorship includes acknowledgement in the event program.
Those interested in purchasing a ticket can contact Pete Ramsour, JRCF foundation manager, at joplinrcf@cfozarks.org or 417-439-7328.
Two local businesses are also sponsoring the event: TrueNorth Wealth & Impact is the Philanthropic Achievement Sponsor, and Liberty Utilities is the Community Champion Sponsor.
The Philanthropic Achievement Award recognizes outstanding and sustained charitable achievement by an individual, organization or business to benefit Joplin, Webb City or Carl Junction. The award winners to be honored this year will be Cynthia Schwab and Bob and Dot Willcoxon.
Mrs. Schwab and Dr. and Mrs. Willcoxon will be awarded a $2,500 donation each to grant to the 501(c)3 organization of their choice.
Considerations for the award include:
- Leadership-level giving that has furthered the mission of one or more nonprofit organizations in the Joplin/Webb City/Carl Junction region and benefited the populations served by those organizations.
- Encouragement and motivation of others to make precedent-setting gifts and assume volunteer fundraising leadership roles.
- Demonstration of innovative approaches to nonprofit or institutional advancement.
