Sunday afternoon accident outside of Carthage injures three

A crash around 12:44 p.m. Sunday afternoon on Missouri 96 a mile and a half east of Carthage injured three people.
The Highway Patrol says a westbound car driven by 25-year-old Delaina F. Taylor of Carthage failed to yield and drove into the path of an eastbound vehicle driven by 59-year-old James A. Proctor of Ozark.
Proctor was seriously injured. His passenger, 57-year-old Cynthia K. Proctor, had moderate injuries. They were taken to Mercy-Joplin.
A 3-year-old boy in Taylor’s car had minor injuries. He was transported to Mercy-Carthage.
